8 months and counting

Ok so I am a little behind this time but it is because time is passing WAY to fast! Kate is growing so much each day and she is just seeming so much older. We went to the dr beginning of August and back then she weighed 18lb 3 ounces and is 271/2 inches long now. However I already think she has grown since then. This girl is in size 12 month to 18 month clothes. She is such a big girl but she does come by it honestly. :) Kate still isn't crawling yet but I can't say that I even want her too, haha. She is rolling all over the place and would rather be standing than down in the floor. As long as she has something to hold on to or is holding onto our hands she is standing. She doesn't know how to pull up yet but once she figures that out, well who knows she might skip crawling and go straight to walking.
Kate now has her to top teeth coming through her gums so she is definitely armed and ready for some food. I have begin to explore and try new things more and more with her food. She absolutely loves avocados. She has also tried cheese and really likes it to..just like her momma :) I am doing some smaller snacks now that she has to feed herself. She has about mastered the pincer grasp and getting it to her mouth. It is so cute to watch her pick up her little puff snacks with those two fingers. She has also started really saying "mama" and this time it is different because she knows what it means. Right now she mainly says it when she cries and wants me to get her. She has started holding out her hands and reaching for you to pick her up now. There is now no question at all who she wants to hold her.
We had some family pictures taken the other day and they turned out so great can't wait to share a few. It is the first family pictures we have had since she was a week old...lol, I know about time! One of the things I have discovered about Kate is that she wants people to laugh or smile at her. She makes some of the funniest expressions and I think she has memorized the ones that we laugh at because she will continue to do it until we laugh at her. She already is trying to be a little comedian just like her daddy.
It has been really nice weather the past couple of days and so I have tried to spend some time outside with her. She loves being outside! We will swing or go on a walk or we water plants...she also loves dogs! When we are out walking there will be dogs walking or barking near us and she just gets so excited. It seems like everyday she is doing something new. I  can tell that she is really understanding and comprehending so much now. It is crazy to think how fast and much they grow in the first year?! I cannot believe Christmas is 15 weeks away and then my little girl will be a year old. She just shouldn't be that old already...
