other day making her 10 month post?! We have a really busy month and SO much has
happened! At the beginning of November on the 3rd we went to visit some family in
Tennessee. It was Kate's first time to fly. She was amazing! Slept most of the way there and all
the way back. When we stood up to get off the plan on our way the people behind me said as
they were getting off "that they didn't even know a baby was on the plane?!" Yes, she did
AMAZING!! We were there for my parent's 40th Anniversary party that family threw for
them! It was beautiful and such a wonderful time together as family. We wanted our parent's
to know that we appreciate everything and especially the commitment that they have made
and still continuing to promise to one another. It has been an amazing example especially the
way times are now days. Commitment is a rarity amongst people now days. We had some
amazing family pictures taking by a wonderful photographer. it is really hard to work with
alot of adults but throw in the kids too...she was great! Dad and mom certainly were blessed
and we had a blast!
Well that shindig was the first weekend of November. Kate and I stayed until the 14th. Yes, it
was almost wo weeks without her daddy! We had a wonderful time with her cousins and my
brother and sister-in-law but were definitely ready to see Drew. It was a sweet reunion at the
airport. Kate was beyond excited to see her daddy. She just couldn't stop touching and
squealing. It was so funny! :)
I guess absence dooes make the heart grow fonder no matter what the age it is...it was
definitely priceless <3a
So on the 14th the day we had done all the travelling and had all the excitement of seeing
daddy for the first time in nearly two weeks. When we got home Kate decided she was tired of
sitting still that she wanted to start crawling. Yep, we were both shocked. I just thought she
would skip that stage all together because she isn't far from walking. She can stand on her
own for a pretty good amount of time.
Kate has begin to eat pretty much everything. So now neither mommy or daddy can eat
without her wondering and wanting what we have. That has made me think twice about what I
am putting into my mouth because if she can't have because it isn't "healthy" for her why
should I? Lol, why. oh why, do I ask myself these things. Well it is what the Lord has been
stirring my heart for quite some time that is about being healthy and my body being a temple
of the Holy Spirit. If I want to teach that to Kate, I must first act on it. So we have been
changing our ways here in the Little household. I actually ran my first 5k on Thanksgiving
day First time I had ever even ran that far and man, what an accomplishment it was for me! I
not only finished but finished it in less than 40 minutes, which is HUGE for me. The entire time I was quoting 1 Cor. 9:24-27 over and over in my head. "Do you not know that in a race
all runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete
exercises self-control. I do not run aimlessly. I do not box as one beating air. But I discipline
my body and keep it under control, lest ater preaching to others that I myself should be
disqualified." Yes, I know this is pertaining to the spiritual aspect but meant alot to me in the
physical means as well!
Ok now back to Kate, lol. She had her first Thanksgiving! She got to eat turkey, dressing, and
all the good things as well :) I also made her a turkey outfit for her and I think it turned out
pretty cute, if I must say so myself, ;) It was this time last year that we were beginning to
count down the days of her arrival. I can't beleive it has now been almost a year since she has
been born. It is so crazy how much faster time does pass after having kids and I was already
at a point I didn't think it could pass any faster, but I was wrong.
We had a dr appointmet on the 30th and she now weighs 19lb 9ounces and is 29inches long.
She is growing like a weed! Oh and I almost forgot she is not nursing an\more. She is totally
weaned and drinking whole milk. So our bedtime routines have changed a little. Her daddy
and I now read a story each before bedtime then brush our teeth, and sing a song and off to
bed we go. I truly don't feel like I have a baby anymore :(
In less than a month she will be a year old and I know this month will pass fast too especially
with Christmas approaching. Hope ever\one had a wonderful thanksgiving and has a Merry
Christmas!
Blessings,
The Little
